Market Program Overview
A community-centered farmers market supporting arts, agriculture, and education
Our El Dorado County Certified Farmers’ Market, produced by the EDH Arts & Entertainment Foundation, is a community-centered charitable program designed to increase access to local agriculture, arts, and cultural education while fostering connection across generations.
In addition to supporting local farmers and food producers, the market offers free, family-focused enrichment activities—including children’s seed-planting workshops, face painting, and creative button-making stations—to encourage early engagement with art, nature, and sustainability. The market also features a youth produce access program, allowing children to receive a token at the information booth that can be exchanged with participating farmers for fresh produce, helping introduce young community members to healthy food choices and local agriculture.
The market serves as a weekly art awareness platform for the El Dorado Hills Arts Association, showcasing rotating 2D and 3D artists, occasional live art demonstrations, and interactive creative experiences that make the arts accessible to the public. Through these programs, the market advances our mission by supporting local creatives, promoting cultural participation, and creating inclusive opportunities for community connection and education.
